Memo to all Pastors

It is with a heavy heart and sadness that I inform each of you that Rev. Joseph S. Harvey, Pastor of the Hickory Grove C.M.E. Church, made his transition on last evening, May 10, 2012. Pastor Harvey fought a courageous fight and remained true to his profession until the end. I ask that we all lift his family up in prayer doing this most difficult time in their lives.

The home going celebration for Rev. Joseph S. Harvey will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 12:00 Noon at:

                                    Cray Chapel C.M.E. Church

                                    1918 Oak Haven Drive

                                    Albany, GA 31721

                                    (Office #)  229/435-3233

Thank you.

Board of Christian Education Fundraiser

Dear Pastors,

This is an exciting year as the Elberton-Gainesville District makes plans for our youth and young adults to attend the 2012 Connectional Youth and Young Adult Conference (CYYAC).  This Conference will be held July 2-6, 2012, at the Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The Board of Christian Education (BOCE) is working to help our youth and young adults attend this event.  One of the things we hope to do is defray some of the cost associated with the rental of a bus for transportation to and from this event.  More.
